Voice
Applicants will be notified if they advance to the audition round to perform on campus. Applicants invited to audition will be considered for scholarships and graduate assistantships.
Audition candidates must sight-read and translate text excerpts in French, German and Italian into English. Admission to the program requires completion of intermediate French, German, or Italian, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
- Upload prescreening recordings with piano of the same repertoire listed for the audition to the School of Music admission application.
A piano accompanist will be provided for voice auditions upon request, or you may bring your own.
High-quality PDF copies of the piano scores must be uploaded through the School of Music Admission Application at least 14 days before the audition. If you plan to perform different selections, an updated repertoire list must also be uploaded no less than 14 days prior to the live audition.
- Repertoire: At least six selections, including songs and arias in contrasting styles.
- Languages: Must include three different languages, including English.
- Modern Work: Include one selection written since 1980.
- Performance: All selections must be performed from memory.
